About the Tours

Do I need riding experience?

Not always. We run tours for all levels — from first-timers to seasoned adventure riders. Tell us your experience when booking and we’ll match the right tour, route and bike to you.

How big are the groups?

Any size — even a single rider, for whom we’ll gladly build a custom tour — including groups of 36 riders or more. For larger groups we add extra guides and support.

How many days is the ideal tour?

It depends on what you want to see. A 6–7 day tour is perfect for one region (the Northwest or Northeast). 8–11 days lets you combine regions and ride deeper into the mountains. 14 days is our ultimate North-to-South adventure. Short on time? We’ll design a 3–4 day escape around you.

Can you customise a private tour?

Yes — tell us your dates, interests, budget and skill level and we’ll build a tailor-made route just for you or your group. Private and scheduled group departures are both available.

Can we ride across borders (Laos, Cambodia)?

Yes. We organise cross-border tours through Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia — we arrange the necessary paperwork in advance. Just ask and we’ll advise what’s needed.

What should I prepare before the tour?

Bring a valid International Driving Permit (1968), your passport, comfortable riding clothes, sturdy closed shoes, gloves, sunglasses, a light rain jacket, warm layers for the mountains, sunscreen and any personal medication. We provide the helmet and riding gear — you just bring yourself, ready to ride.

Bikes, License & Documents

What motorbikes do you use?

Our own, well-maintained fleet: Honda XR150, CRF250L, CRF300L, CB500X, up to Triumph Tiger and BMW GS for big-bike riders. Every bike is serviced by our own mechanics before each trip — never sub-rented from a third party.

Which bike should I choose?

We’ll help you pick. New or casual riders love the light, easy Honda XR150 and CRF250L. Confident riders enjoy the CRF300L and CB500X for longer days. Experienced adventure riders can step up to the Triumph Tiger or BMW GS. We match the machine to your route and skill.

Do I need a motorbike license?

Yes. To ride with us you must hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention, together with your home motorbike license. This is what makes riding legal in Vietnam — please arrange it before you travel.

What documents do I get with the bike?

Every bike comes with its registration papers (the “blue card”) so you’re riding fully documented. Keep them with you on the road along with your IDP and passport.

What if the bike breaks down?

Our bikes are checked daily and rarely fail. If anything happens on the road, our guide/mechanic fixes it on the spot, or we replace the bike with the same type so your trip keeps moving. On larger tours a support vehicle follows the group.

Safety, Insurance & Support

Is it safe?

Safety comes first. You get an experienced local guide, daily bike checks, hand-picked routes updated regularly, and on-road support throughout. For larger groups we can also provide a support vehicle.

Is Vietnam safe to travel around?

Yes — Vietnam is one of Asia’s friendliest and safest countries for travellers. The main thing to respect is the traffic, which is why riding with experienced local guides who know the roads makes all the difference.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers motorbike riding and medical evacuation. Please arrange it before your trip.

What riding gear do you provide?

We provide a quality helmet and riding gear. We recommend you also bring sturdy shoes, gloves and layers for mountain weather.

Vietnam Travel

When is the best time to ride?

Vietnam rides year-round, but the north is at its best roughly October–April (cool, dry, clear mountain views). We’ll advise the best route for your travel dates.

What’s the weather like?

Vietnam is long, so climates differ by region. The North has warm summers and cool, dry winters (it can get genuinely cold in Sapa). The Centre is hot and dry from roughly January to August. The South is tropical with a wet and dry season — best from December to April.

Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

Most visitors do. Please check the latest e-visa / visa-exemption rules for your nationality and arrange it before arrival.

What languages do your guides speak?

All of our guides speak at least one of English, Spanish or Chinese. Tell us your preferred language and we’ll match you with the right guide.

Payment & Booking

How do I book, and what’s the deposit?

Message us with your dates, group size and chosen tour. To confirm your booking you pay a 50% deposit, and the remaining 50% on your departure day — at your hotel or at our office.

How can I pay?

You can pay by cash, bank transfer, or card (card payments carry a 3–5% processing surcharge). We prefer cash or bank transfer, as it avoids card fees and unfavourable exchange-rate markups.

Is my payment safe?

Absolutely. You pay only a 50% deposit to confirm, with the balance settled in person on departure day — so you always know exactly who you’re paying and what you’re paying for.

What’s your cancellation / refund policy?

We don’t offer cash refunds. However, if you cancel before your departure date, we can hold your deposit toward your next tour whenever you return to Vietnam.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. We tell you up front exactly what’s included — including the guide’s accommodation and fuel — so there are no surprises mid-trip.
